On a personal level how this conjunction that lasts until April 2021 (though not direct) depends very much on the planets position in your natal chart.
We will likely see some shifts between government and “the masses”, in other words, the way society will work together, or not, and find ways to see things through. I’m not a mundane Astrologer and will stay away from global predictions as it’s not my field of interest and expertise, other than saying that this is a time where morals will be compromised and science and conspiracy theories will clash in big ways. That in itself sounds okay, and yet we still can’t say that the energies balance each other out, seeing how Saturn is stronger and Jupiter weaker during this transit. So we have Jupiter likely showing his worst and Saturn showing his best. Saturn is the polar opposite of Jupiter and his nature is harsh and cold, edgy, contracting, loss, death/longevity, and yet because he is happy in Capricorn, we’ll likely see more of his positive trades that can help increase focus and memory, discipline, willingness to work hard for what we want and see it through to the end. Saturn, naturally a difficult planet, is in his position of strength in his own sign Capricorn. More than one astrologer have used the term “loss of Dharma” to describe this event. Jupiter doesn’t turn evil during difficult transits, however, Jupiter’s nature and its expression is weakened, easier to corrupt, and a loss of integrity can easily occur, especially during this conjunction. As naturally the most benefic of the planets, Jupiter most certainly will bring his positive qualities into the area of life that is governed by Capricorn in your natal chart (that depends on the time of your birth and your ascendant). Whatever Jupiter touches tends to expand. Something we want to keep in mind when discussing this conjunction. This places this event firmly into a sign with very different energies than Aquarius. In Fact, Jupiter won’t even enter Aquarius until April next year and Saturn will remain in Capricorn until 2023. This Jupiter Saturn Conjunction is happening at roughly 6✠0′ Capricorn, far far away from Aquarius. Seeing how Vedic Astrology tends to not “prettify and positive-wash” what’s going on in the skies and how it effects us as a whole and you on a personal level, we can at least be aware of challenges caused by this event so we have the option to navigate it with more grace. On Monday December 21st at 07:43am PT (Pacific Time, Vancouver, Canada), Jupiter and Saturn will go into exact conjunction, 6✡9′ sidereal Capricorn. Though this Jupiter Saturn Conjunction will be pretty to look at, in astrological terms it presents some difficulties that shouldn’t be downplayed.
